Dubai - The New Pakistani Capitol

Is it official? If not? When? At least all the Pakistani State decsissions and business is run from Dubai by King Shah Zardari. It does have major Pakistani TV channels. Lets merge Dubai into Pakistan and call it West Pakistan as it lies West of Pakistan(i.e East Pakistan).

A plethora of black days

Dawn July 12, 2008 Saturday Rajab 8, 1429

In an insipid decision to ‘mourn’ the date of Zia-ul-Haq’s martial law, the PPP spent much time and energy to ‘commemorate’ the said event. It is termed as a ‘black day’. But then, there are so many other ‘black days’ that have fallen on the people of Pakistan, it would take nearly 100 days or more each year to commemorate those black days as well.

Was it not a black day when Benazir Bhutto was assassinated? Or further back when Liaquat Ali Khan was assassinated? Or when Ayub Khan imposed martial law? Or when each terrorist exploded himself to kill, maim and wound hundreds of Pakistanis? Was it not a black day when riots erupted in Karachi which brought the hub of the economic activity of Pakistan to a standstill last year?

It is not wise to live in the ‘blackness’ of the past. Even in South Africa, there was a Truth and Reconciliation Committee to absorb all ‘black days’ and that nation has the grit and determination to forgive, forget and re-unite. That in is how ‘black days’ are tied up, locked and drowned in an ocean forever.

Let’s now look towards ‘bright days’, ‘sunny days’, etc. Let’s all resolve to bring out the best in us, not remember the worst that was done to this nation by dictators and despots.

BBC Urdu Service, A Taliban Propaganda Network

Its amzing, organization like BBC can find and interview culprits like Mangal Bagh,Baitullah Mehsud, Hazrat Umar etc. and propagates thier filthy taliban propanganda on the BBC airwaves (Urdu services) than why the British and American authorities are unable to find these criminals? This conculdes that BBC Urdu is partlyt involved and partly shares the blame of terrorism in Pakistan and hence BBC is one of the terrorist network and extention of Taliban in Pakistan.
Perhaps CIA should get thier hand on the BBC Urdu network correspondents who knows the terrorists hideouts or else how the BBC Urdu can interview and propagate the terrorist agenda of talibans.

Karachi - The Dangerous City

At partition, most of Karachi's 440,000 population of Hindus had left and were replaced by 1.2 million Mohajirs, or Indian migrants. They had followed the dream of Pakistan's founding father, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, to create a nation for Muslims. But the Mohajirs were in for a rude shock. Many of the local Punjabis, Sindhis and Pathans regarded them as unwanted trespassers. They still do, except nowadays the Mohajirs have earned wary respect by carrying out vicious ethnic warfare in Karachi throughout the early 1990s. The Pathans and the Sindhis retaliated but the Mohajirs matched them murder for murder, operating torture cells. Today Karachi is in the grips of the Mohajir godfather, Altaf Hussain, a fugitive in Britain charged with more than 100 counts of murder, sabotage and arson, who continues to rule the city from afar.
